4Good for miniaturesJun 30, 2010
By R. Newnham
I have had excellent results with this glue. I paint 30mm fantasy miniatures, and this glue has always done well. Good set time; cures moderately quickly and has a good bond. I like this CA glue and I recommend it.

5It Works For MeAug 07, 2011
By kone "kone"
For years I have been looking for a cyanoacrylate (super glue) that had a tip that would not plug rendering the product useless. I finally found it in Gorilla Super Glue. I have used my bottle multiple times without having the tip clog. Therefore, I am reasonably certain that this bottle will last a long time.

The brand of super glue is probabaly no stronger or tougher than any other brand of super glue. Cyanoacrylate is cyanoacrylate. I have found that one must use cyanoacrylate sparingly for it to work as advertized. If one floods the area with cyanoacrylate, it will not set properly and will also cause a mess. So used sparingly, drops instead of rivers, and allow it to set in the air for about a minute or so before placing the pieces together. Then hold the pieces together for another minute or two and then gently try the pieces with pressure. They should be bonded together.

Keep off of skin! Cyanoacrylate bonds skin surfaces together instantly, so avoid getting it on your fingers, or you may find yourself bonded to the object you are repairing!

Finally, cyanoacrylate works well to bond together skin wounds, especially cuts. If you wish to try to bond together skin wounds, make sure the wound fits together snugly - sharp cuts that go back together precisely are those that can be bonded most successfully. Make sure the wound edges are free of water and blood. Apply pressure to cut and then apply a thin layer of cyanoacrylate. Blow on the cyanoacrylate until it is set. Once set, it should remain bonded. In a few days, especially with exposure to water, the cyanoacrylate will wear off and you may need to rebond. Again, this works best for sharp cuts. Don't put it on abrasions and scrapes.

This stuff is OK, not the best. If you are doing a small job, then it should be fine. I tried it for the first time today in two places. On a small piece of porcelain, it did the trick. But, on heavier items, it's not that impressive. I should have tried an epoxy with the bigger items. The good thing is, it has a cap on it so hopefully it won't dry out like my other superglues.

5Best Super Glue on the MarketApr 09, 2012
By B. Sullivan
This is the best super glue I've ever used. If you haven't used super glue in awhile, this one is different from the ones you may have used years ago. Unlike older versions, this has good shear strength and is not brittle, so it stands up to some knocking around. The formula contains rubber particles and is designed to be impact resistant -- I found this to be true in my own usage. Gorilla Super Glue is cheaper by the gram than nearly all others you'll find in the store. It also has a great package that won't clog and turn the bottle into a one-application use -- the bottle is only half-filled and the applicator has a long tapered snout with a cap that has a pin in it, all of which prevents clogging after use. Most other super glues clog up after one use. I used this glue to fix my coffee cup handle that broke completely off -- so far so good after repeated use and cleaning. I have also used this glue to re-glue the rubber sole treads back onto the bottom of my Nike running shoes (my shoe repair guy also recommended super glue for this application). This glue is not recommended for repairing things that are exposed to significant moisture or water. Also, this glue will not work well for certain substrates that are porous, like wood and foam. Works great for ceramics, plastics, metal, leather, rubber, and vinyl. An independent test rated Gorilla super glue the strongest out of several other brands of super glues and epoxies -- [...]. If you want to glue wood, stick with plain old yellow wood glues. These are the best by far for that application. If you want a general purpose glue that is water resistant, heat resistant, flexible, and gap filling, and will glue just about anything to anything including vertical applications, get LiquidNails Silicone Glue. I've experimented with many glues and the Gorilla Super Glue, along with Elmers (or Titebond) Wood Glue, and LiquidNails Small Projects Clear Silicone glue will cover most every application you'll face. I have not tried epoxy glues, but have heard good things about them as well particularly for gluing metal pieces to metal, or to anything else.

2Didnt fit my need.Jan 12, 2012

I heard about Gorilla being really good but i was trying to fix some sea shells i got from a beach to a photo frame. Its just doesn't dry quick enough and had to wait for hours for it to dry up and its bonding power is not as good as it would be. I had to apply multiple times to get the sea shells fixed. One thing it is good at is it sticks to your hands very quickly.
