Matches the Guest charger plug, but weak securement tab.Mar 31, 2009

I got this as a replacement for one that broke in my boat (the tab that holds the plug in place snapped off). I tried other 'universal' brands that weren't even close in fit to the plug I had. This one matches my Guest charger plug, however, I suspect it will have a similar problem with the holding tab for the plug. If you bend that tab too far or too often, it WILL eventually break off!
The securement method could be better, hence the 4 star rating.

worked as advertisedApr 15, 2008
By S. Million I had been meaning to install this for a while. I had the charger, but needed the mount. Ordered from Amazon and received promptly. I drilled / sawed a hole out at the back of my boat and from there it was simple to tighten it down and insert the plug in.
VERY slick interfaceNov 07, 2011
By Shawn Patrick Mcnew I love these things. I have 2 onboard guest chargers which are great. Mine get more use than most as a guide and commercial fisherman.
The special cord on the charger hooks right up to the inlet and snaps in place. I'm a little worried about the flimsy piece that holds the plug base inward, but so far no issues (knocking on wood).
Installation is easy, EXCEPT YOU NEED A 1-7/8" HOLE SAW. Now, seriously, who has this size laying around? It doesn't come in kits, either. I wallowed it out with a 1-3/4" saw and then used a die grinder for the rest. If you use a 2" saw, the hole will be too big.
