Daylight Floor Lamp -- Excellent ProductSep 06, 2013
I bought this product to use for a drafting table where I prepare design drawings in a fairly dark room (the numerous other lights in the room are not sufficient, and specific task lighted was needed). The quality of the lighting provided is great -- the "daylight" bulb is very natural. The lamp is very space efficient, which is great in a tight space. I love the flexible arms on the product to allow adjustment of it's placement where needed. The lamp head is also flexible and nicely slim. The magnifying glass is very handy when needed, and can be adjusted away when not needed. I also appreciate the wheels on the base to move the lamp around for cleaning the floor or when needed in a different space. The on-off switch is very nicely placed and simply to operate. The lamp was very securely packaged, and simple to put together. It is a great value for the price.

Great lampAug 02, 2013
By Lydia Stevenson
This lamp deserves my 5 rating because the light is bright and doesn't radiate heat or at least I haven't experienced such. I like the rollers making it very easy to position the lamp perfectly for my hand sewing. Also the shade on the light helps direct the light away from my eyes and onto my work. This is the first Daylight lamp I've owned and I like it better than Ott.

AwesomeNov 24, 2012
By Kathy Rymer
This lamp is great! I purchased it for more light on my desk, and did not really want the magnifier, but surprisingl enough I have used it at least once every day since I purchased the lamp. I am very pleased with the lamp.

Not as bright as I wish it could have been, magnifying glass pops out easilyMay 05, 2013
By A. Ellwood
I was deciding between this model and two others (Ottlite was one of them). I oil paint on large canvases and I often cannot do so in a time when I can get decent real daylight so I am usually forced to paint in an area where the lighting is very warm and it's hard to see the colors for what they really look like. I like this lamp because it is on casters but I really wish it had a higher wattage bulb in it and the magnifying glass didn't come out of the socket so easily. It does the job well enough but if I were to go back I might pick the Ottlite instead - I use that brand at work teaching high school art education.

ONE BIG SAFETY PRECAUTION NEEDED WITH THIS ITEM!Dec 16, 2014
By Marijane C.
I have one big precaution with this item -- If you are intending to use it by a window for better lighting when you are working on crafts, be careful to cover the magnifying lens when you are away from your seat. Do not leave the magnifying lens exposed to a window with sunlight. The sun through the lens could cause a fire. It happened in our house, and thank God it was just a matter of paper smouldering, but it really could have been tragic. This item should be sold with a magnifying lens cover, (a simple cloth will do), with a warning to cover it when not in use if near a source of sunlight. It's quite dangerous. Otherwise, we haven't had a problem with it -- it's a good light so far.
I can't give it more than 3 *** because of the failure to warn or provide for the safety hazard.
