I have had 3 or 4 iterations of Fix-It Utilities. I particularly liked #10 and used it frequently, noteably, the One Click Optimizer, the Internet Accelerator and the Registry Defrag. As far as I can tell, FX#11 is just FX#10 with the addition of Anti-Virus and Spyware protection. If you already have a Security System (Norton; Kaspersky; McAFee, etc), stick with FI#10. You can disable their Security System on FI#11 and use yours, but you get a bunch of messages that you aren't protected. The graphics are somewhat better, but that's about it.

its veritable (inside joke there for long-time users) plethora of utilities are all actually functionally valuable, even though some are only ever effectively used once; compared to all other suites, it's definitely a 5. Furthermore, it's less expensive than Avanquest's own System Suite which differs only in that S.S. has a firewall that Fix-It does not -- all other utilities are the same, save for the very curious fact that Fix-It's Registry Fixer (by far their most popular feature) is not inexplicably buggy as SS 11's (Avanquest IS diligently working on that, btw). And upgrades are, so far, reasonably priced. Frankly, I thought "sly British" Avanquest bought this product as a cash-cow because it has been a top seller for its 4 owners in 12 years that I know of, but they are, in fact, continuing competent development and product improvement of these siblings. As much as I love freebie/sub-$10 software, I have always cheerfully paid for these two products. (FYI, if you already have anti-virus software that you're happy with, use the Custom Install feature with these products to de-select installation of their a/v modules -- this will prevent conflicts and nag screens.)

Just how bad is Fix-It Utilities 11? The installation program alone froze my computer. Even Ctrl-Alt-Delete wouldn't work. I had to turn my computer off at the switch and reboot.
Being a sucker, and having already spent my money, I tried it again... with the exact same result.
It's going back for a refund.
I've since gone back and read the reviews on Fix-It Utilities 9 and 10, and found lots of other 1-star reviews from people who couldn't install the software... and people who found that it made their computers even slower than before... and people who found that it was impossible to uninstall from their systems.
And by the way, you'll notice that almost all of the 5-star reviews on any version of this software come from the exact same place: Nova Development. Who's that? They're the publishing company that creates Avanquest software.
Avoid, avoid, AVOID.
