tent fit for a kingJan 10, 2008
By Karen DeVaney My son wanted a castle tent for Christmas, and I figured Santa might be hard-pressed to find such a thing. Well, lo and behold, we found this tent and it is just the ticket! This tent is colorful, sturdy, stimulates the imagination, and can accomodate 3-4 children at a time easily. We have had two adults and a 4-year-old in there at the same time comfortably, so this product is good for older children as well. So many play tents are really for the preschool set, but this is wonderful for elementary-age children as well. It is easy to set up, and can be used inside or outside. We are very pleased with this purchase!

Great tent!Sep 22, 2009

My kids ages 4 and 2 love this tent, they love playing "Little Pig, Little Pig let me come in!" in it. I like the bright colors, and the height and size are perfect. My 4 year old can stand inside in the towers, my 2 year old can stand anywhere inside. All 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) can fit in easily to play games. Pretty good fabric quality - though I'm not sure about outdoor use.
Extremely easy to set up - took about 15 minutes. Love the roll-up flaps at the windows and doors. It has clear plastic peep holes in the towers that lets light in (and for the Big Bad Wolf to peep through and evoke squeals of laughter). For safety, it has mesh on top and at the windows to allow air in, and the zippers are two-sided so that my 2 year old can get himself out when my 4 year old zips him in!
We put it in the basement and they have moved in their stuff. We put it on top of a puzzle rubber mat so that there is some padding at the bottom. We lay the stakes down under the mats and connected them to the tent's loops through the creases in the puzzles - thus "grounding" the tent. Works great.
The only negative is that the flags on top remain rolled up, but I guess I could wet them and press them flat if I want to spend the 5 minutes to do so.
Overall we are ALL (the little pigs and the wolf too) very very pleased with this product!

Too fragile to be of much useJan 07, 2010
By Looking for Wisdom We had high hopes for this tent. But the clasps at the top of each side tent (where the flags insert) are made of brittle plastic. When we expanded the tent "arms" to build the tent, the resulting pressure snapped two of the plastic joints immediately, rendering the tent useless. Even the joints that didn't break were forced to absorb more pressure than they could handle when the tent arms were pushed downward to support the tent on the floor. One cracked and another almost cracked before we quickly un-inserted the tent arm. Now we have a useless pile of fabric and tent parts. The clasps should have been made of metal. I can't recommend this tent at all. Also, it was smaller in person than it looks on screen, even though we knew the measurements.

Great tent, as long as you have space for it.Apr 02, 2010
By Michelle Wiseman We purchased this tent about 2 years ago. I only have 2 con's.
It takes up quite a bit of space and it takes some time and patience to put together.
Due to economic times we have had to move from a house to an apartment since the purchase of this tent, it is now only able to be used outside. It takes up the entire middle of the apartment living room. So we are shopping for a little version.
The pluses far outweigh the minuses, it is a very good price, it is sturdy, and durable, and the large size makes it great for parties.
At one of our parties they managed to cram 10+ kids and even a parent in there. It held up to all these boys who were 2-8 rough housing in there for about 2 hours. Oh and did I mention it kept them occupied!!! It is large enough and made of real tent material so you could even sleep a couple of kids in there for camping...probably younger kids as its not that tall.
Other pluses is that I have friends who have the "tube with an attached tent cube" style and we could run the end of the tube into this tent and created like a kid habitrail. That was also cause for great fun and added to their getting more exercise as they ran thru it over and over.
After 2 years, probably 20 assemblies, 3-4 big parties, no rips, no tears and no one is bored with it. I do wish it had a bigger bag but I just got an old nylon sleeping bag cover and threw it in there.

What a fun tent!Dec 29, 2008

My granddaughters LOVE this tent! It's sturdy enough for outdoor use, though I'm not sure it would stand up to real camping. Perhaps so, with a bit of seasoning... Anyway, it's a fun tent -- great for kids to have a clubhouse, a sleepover, or just play inside it!
