 Not for interstate road useAug 09, 2010

I purchased a set like these a couple of years ago.... just in case. This past month I had an occasion to use them when my boat trailer tire blew out on interstate 10. I felt good that I had these with me and that I was prepared. I placed them out along the berm of the interstate, spacing them out about 75 yards before my disabled vehicle. By the time I got back to my vehicle the semi trucks had blown all of them off the berm and into the grass surround. These are much too light to use on interstate roads with heavy traffic. I am now shopping for a heavy steel set like the truckers use. It's scary changing a roadside tire in heavy interstate traffic.

These go together very easily, but are so light you have to use something else to make them stay put. Kind of defeats the purpose when they blow away after the first vehicle passes you.

Order for my daughter as she lives in Ithica NY. It is compack, easy to assemble but large enough to be seen along the road, strong to hold up being stored in truck. Good product.
