Had to get this after playing it in the Apple storeFeb 07, 2012
By Schap My twin girls loved this game in the Apple store. They wanted to stay long after I was done my business there. So I was lucky to find it on Amazon. They got it for their birthday and love it. Teaches them to control the mouse while looking at the screen, comfortable with the keyboard, etc. while it is cute and fun. Little girls who like Dora and Boots will love it.

Won't run on Mac 10.6 except on administrator's accountDec 27, 2010
By Terry C. Lee I tried many times to get Dora's Big Birthday Adventure to run on parental controlled user account, but it would not do so. The software's permissions as installed only allow the installer (an administrator account) to use the software. Changing the permissions to allow other user accounts to use the software did not help. A rating of zero for this DVD is way zoo high. Nova Development should "fold their tent" and leave developing software to those that can.

Total JunkDec 18, 2010
By Jay Seriously, if you are considering buying this product to run on Mac 10.5 or above STOP! It's the first application I ever had trouble installing on a Mac. Once I finally got past the initial installation issues I get a cryptic error message about the platform not being compatable. Well, that's odd, since the package says will work with Mac OS X 10.4 or later. As for support? What support? Their site is useless. I had to get around the installation issue by Google-ing to find a solution! What a total waste of money, I feel so ripped-off it's not even funny. I will NEVER buy a NOVA product again and I will complain to both the BBB and Nikelodeon directly.
We had no problem and loved the gameFeb 06, 2011

"Mom of 3"
We had no problem at all installing this game on a PC running windows XP that is 5-6 years old. The game installed without any issues and played just like it was intended for. No errors or slow game changes. My Toddler is almost 3 and she had a ball playing the game, mastered some of the games on her own and the others she will be able to work on and learn. We love this game and will defiantly recommend this to all our friends. I do see the frustration that others have been talking about, about a lot of PC games, we do have our share of games that were expensive and never worked even on new PC's.. so I understand and feel their concerns, this game however didn't give us any problems at all. Fun to play and we love Dora in our house :-)
Not age appropriateDec 03, 2010
By Cary Feldstein Bought this game at a retailer for my twins. They are 32 months old. Game box said appropriate for ages 2-5, no way! Maybe for a 4 or 5 year old, but my daughters were in tears and frustrated trying this game. They do better with the free online kids games. As for me, this was my first actual software purchase for my kids because there is so many free flash games on-line. I feel ripped off and burned. Do not buy this product.
