Good set of games (and it can run under an XP limited account with some tweaking)Feb 12, 2006
By G. Semel My daughter likes the games, but some of them are pretty simplistic for a kindergartner.
As for letting your limited account "little monster" :-) run the game, I was able to get it running with one little tweak to the security settings for one folder. If an administrator adds Modify and Write permissions to the Users group on the program files\disney interactive folder, the game seems to run fine. As far as I can tell, the problem occurs when the games are trying to write the player.SAV file to a subfolder.
I'm not sure how easy it is to add these permissions on XP Home, but on XP Pro it's a breeze.
Hope this helps.

Learning with Pooh, Tigger, and Roo!Oct 22, 2007
By LadyHawke9973

My 4 year old sat down for the first time with this software at 3PM this past Saturday afternoon, and aside for a quick break for dinner (which was wolfed down because she wanted to get back to her "'puter"), she played non-stop until past 8PM.
Learning her numbers, addition, phonics, grammar, following instructions (Tigger's Treasure Hunt is great!)...you name it. I can't think of a single problem with this software. There are even 3 levels of difficulty within most of the games.
Was not as impressed with the Mickey Mouse disk, but only one real quibble, really. On the spash screen where you can choose what game to play, the Pooh Bear disk says what each game is when you hover your mouse over it...so you know what it is even if you're pre-reading. The Mickey Mouse game does not. The rest was just fine...and fine-tuning her listening/observation skills with the bell-hop game (hotel guests call the front desk asking for a bell-hop with blue pants, bowtie and no hat, and you have to choose the right bell-hop from what looks like the Goof Troop) is a WELL thought out game.
Am DEFinitely recommending it to anyone with a 3-5 year old.

multi-age study packMar 02, 2006

"Hannah's gramma"
Both my 5 year old granddaughter, Hannah and 3 year old granddaughter, Hallie enjoyed the bundle. There are several levels, so it was challenging and enjoyable for both. It was very helpful with the subjects that were being introduced in Hannah's kindergarten class, such as the geometry.

The most complete learning tool for kindergarden kidsMay 13, 2007
By Angelina Hernandez
"BooksLover"
This is the most complete learning tool for kindergarden kids. DON'T EJECT THE SOFTWARE FROM THE COMPUTER BEFORE EXITING THE GAME. If you do so then the software could make chages in your computer setting. However, for me if you look for a complete learning tool for your little todler this could be the best one. The cd that likes me more is the phonic quest cd.

Will not run unless you give your kindergartner admin rights!Oct 09, 2005
By Sean Earp If I could give this program fewer than 1 star, I would. First and foremost, the program will not run at all unless it is run under an administrator account. Perhaps you have created a limited account for your little monster, knowing that if they were set up as administrator, they could load any program or virus downloaded from the internet, add and remove user accounts, change passwords, delete files, and otherwise wreak havoc on your computer... THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT RUN UNLESS you set your 5 year old up as computer administrator. Other titles (such as the SIGNIFICANTLY better Reader Rabbit) work fine on limited accounts.
Even if you log in as administrator so that your kiddo can use this program, it is disappointing across the board. It is hard to use, the games are not fun, and I can honestly not think of a single redeeming feature that is not present in the SIGNIFICANTLY better Reader Rabit series. DO NOT BUY!!!
