The price is better than retail, but after having it installed professionally I have discovered that the range is not that great and the siren is not very loud. Also the shock sensor is faulty and it will not trigger regardless of how much I rock the vehicle or bang on the car.

I liked this product but if you run into problems installing it you're on your own. I contact Directed (the manufacturer of the Avital 3300L) and after 15 mins on hold they asked if I was a dealer. When I said no they said I couldn't get support and that was the end of that.
Installation intrustions are pretty good though but obviously it's going to get tricky when it comes to wiring into your lock/unlock system since there are many different methods car makers can choice to do this and this system tries to work with all of them.
Oh and I have a PhD in physics and still couldn't get it to open my doors remotely.

I like this product - the remote control works great, and the two way paging is nice. I had it professionally installed since I heard putting these things in was a hassle. I am still working out all the features, but it appears to be very functional and customizable.
