Great productJan 22, 2011
By hanasp I ordered this monitor after having to replace the Graco Ivibe, which basically started malfunctioning less than a year after we purchased it. We also needed something that monitored the temperature in our son's room because our HVAC unit is on the second floor and so his is bedroom--so there is a vast temperature difference between our room downstairs and his. We wanted to be able to monitor the thermostat the best we could in this cold weather. This monitor is great--it detected temperature changes as I searched for a good place to locate it --even within his room. There is also a talk back feature--if you need that, a lullaby program that can be turned on and off remotely, temperature max/min alert so you know when it may be too cold or hot for your baby, and feed time settings if you need to wake and feed the baby during the newborn stage. Nice modern design as well. It's really a great product that offers much more than any basic monitors. I wish I had purchased it first!

By Myriah Exactly what wanted, works great, takes temperature and tells you when its too hot or too cold and it's stylish too. Love the green.

DO NOT BUY A MOTOROLA MONITORFeb 11, 2011
By rjfh Don't waste your money on a Motorola baby monitor. Not only does the product fail to operate according to description (5 hours of battery life), Motorola's Customer Service leaves much to be desired. The battery will not hold charge for more than 2 hours. I returned the original monitor to Motorola (at my cost of $14, having to use a "traceable" service) and received another only to have the same problem with the replacement. In addition, the replacement monitor cut out often leaving us with no reception whatsoever. Upon contacting Motorola again, I was informed that a cash refund was not an option and that I would also have to absorb the cost of returning the faulty products.

It's okApr 07, 2011
By AmazonMommy First of all, I ordered this monitor because I thought the green was a nice color. When I received the monitor, it was white and silver, not green. Disappointment one. Secondly, my baby is not a quiet crier and it's hard for me to hear her, even with the volume all the way up. You pretty much have to put the monitor under the crib to get good sound. It plays music which is neat, but the music plays in the parent unit as well, and it's so loud you really can't hear your baby over the music. It does have a good range though, and the battery will last all night if I don't keep it on the charger.

Monitor good, no other features workMar 25, 2011

I wanted an intercom monitor for my 2 year old. I had the Graco one that was junk. This one meets my main priorities - hear child if he wakes up and talk to him via intercom. The other features on my monitor do not work. Time is never right, temperature reads several degrees too high. Feeding and temp alarms don't work. One of the settings described in the manual is not even in the device. Battery life is poor. I leave it on the stand so not an issue for me, but less than 4 hours is pathetic. So, if you want a decent intercom monitor - this fits the bill. If you want the other advertised features, look elsewhere. You'll be disappointed.
