Pretty good...Jan 01, 2012

I put these in my new car, because after owning a car with heated seats, it's hard to go back. I was originally hesitant about installing them under cloth seats ( usually heated seats are bundled with leather ), but after some investigation, there is no technical reason why you cannot have heated cloth seats. The install was fairly easy and looked flawless once the seats were reinstalled.
Pro: Much cheaper than factory.
Con: Warm up type is longer than I am used to. Toggle button could be a little nicer, but it's not bad.

I picked up two of these heated pads for our Suzuki Sidekick. We park outside and it has been -5F lately and the car's heater doesn't heat the car very quickly. The installation was straight forward and wiring was not very difficult. It just takes time to remove the seats and pull the covers off, ect. The seat pads heat up within a couple of minutes on high and then we turn them on low and they are a nice addition to the cars heater. I originally held the bottom cushion heat pad back from the front edge but it creates an uncomfortable non heated space on your leg. I pulled the seats back out and moved the bottom pads on each seat to the forward edge of the seat and it is much better now heating your whole leg and butt. Make sure you start the edge of the pad at the front edge of the seat. There is a little bit of a gap that is not heated toward the back of the seat now but you don't notice it. I also originally put the switches on the side of the seat in the plastic trim but you can't see the switches and to turn the passenger seat on you had to lean over and reach for it. When I redid the bottom pads I relocated the switches to an empty location on the dash so the driver can see and control both switches quickly. I thought the pads might heat up too much and create a hot spot where the pad loops under the forward listing but it doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference. For the price it is a nice addition to a little commuter car in cold weather. I think I am going to get another set for my old truck. The kit had everything I needed except for a relay. I purchased a $5 relay from the local parts store that switches the power to the seats when the accessory power turns on (wired to the radio power circuit) so the seats do not get turned on accidentally and drain the battery and so when we use the autostart (also purchased from Amazon) the seats turn on automatically while the car warms up. I was able to get one relay that both seats can plug into and the fused power comes right from the battery. I feel the pads are a good value if you are able to install them yourself.

I installed this product in 2 cars now. Both front seats. They do heat up incredibly quick and work very well.
One thing to add is they say you can trim them down, but there is not much to trim. To me, I bought these because they are big pads and the more pad the hotter the butt.
The first car I installed on was a 07 hyundai elantra. Very easy install as the seat fabric is held down by velco. To me this is a great design by Hyundai as they designed the seat to be unassembled. You can wire in the seat heaters to the 12V outlets(there is 2 of them both with I think 10A fuses. Since The outlets aren't used, I used them for seat warmers).
The next car I installed these on was a pontiac G6. It's more of a custom install on this car. Good luck.

These seat heaters work great. My wife had a car with seat heaters,the new car we got her didn't have them and she really wanted them, so I bought these. There is some work to installing them but it's worth it, they heat up fairly fast and put out a lot of heat. They're well made and come with everything you need to install them. She's happy, I'm happy, you'll be happy too.

Dont waste your money on this. I put these in my girlfriends car as a chrisrtmas gift. Within a week both seat botoms stoped working.
