Compass Clip WatchOct 27, 2010
By John D. Gruner This is a nice looking watch good for time keeping and compass use. The Date feature requires a button push. The problem with displaying the date is that it does not go back to time after a few seconds, but requires the push of a button. There are instances when the date button was unknowingly activated and the date was mistaken for the time. Not a good thing. An automatic return to the time, which other watches have, would correct this. Also, the so-called alarm is almost inaudible. The watch must be held next to the ear to hear it. The compass feature works well, but does need re-calibrating from time to time.

Good watchDec 22, 2009

I like the watch/compass. It arrived on time and works as specified. If anything, it is a little bit larger in size than I was hoping.

Very practicalNov 02, 2009
By Eric Rivera Although I have not used the compass yet, I find this watch better than similar products; the buttoms are more accessible and easy to press; it has a sturdy construction; and I like the back light, great for my night rounds as a respiratory therapist.

It's passableSep 04, 2011

Ten years ago I bought a clip on watch from Timex which recently broke. Since I more than got my moneys worth, I decided to buy another. Then I saw this Dakota watch and figured it was an upgraded version so I bought this one instead. It's OK, but it keeps switching to the date automatically, and the clip itself is not nearly as easy to clip on and off because it's so small. You'll see what I mean if you buy it.

Worked fine, then quit workingJul 10, 2011

This worked fine for a few weeks. Then it started giving "359 N" as a reading for any direction. I removed the battery to reset the device, but it still just gives "359 N".
