Great value and SUCH a handy addition to my workshop!Nov 29, 2010
By Rach I bought this after many years of frustrations driving screws with our hefty drill and struggling to keep the drill steady and the screws at the appropriate angle. I'm a petite woman, and I'm pretty handy, but there are certain limitations that come with height and arm span. This magnetic drive set helps to close that gap! I have used it for household chores as well as woodworking and plan to add more bits to my set to use with more projects. This would be a GREAT stocking stuffer for the handy person in your life.

Good Price for DeWalt QualityJul 05, 2011

I have a friend who does contract work and he recommended screw guides. I've never used them before. I just do around the house stuff, but man, what a difference these make when you are in an awkward position trying to hold something overhead and secure it at the same time. You can do some jobs by yourself that would've taken someone else to help hold. I highly recommend these!

Works OK, but doesn't last.Feb 05, 2012
By Dr. Atomo These screw guides DO work. They will hold your screws so you can hold on to a ladder with your other hand. My problem is with the longevity of the product. Under constant use in a construction environment they only last a couple of days before falling apart and/ or getting stuck. The little spring clips that hold them together come dislodged and the friction on the tubes wears the device out very quickly.
They are far to expensive for a tool that lasts only few days on the job. If they were only a couple of dollars I could see it but...
Dewalt seems to be marketing their products as "Contractor Grade" but I would expect a professional grade product to last a few months at least!!
On the other hand I haven't found any other brand to make a significantly better product so, if you need these you may just have to pony up.

Great QualityFeb 14, 2011
By BigDish This set was used to replace a 2 inch drive guide that I had previously used for about 8 years before I lost it. It is good quality craftsmanship from Dewalt. They will hold up no matter how much you abuse them. I bought this kit because it included the 4 inch drive guide which will come in handy. The magnetic drive guide isn't just for contractors. I use this around the house and for woodworking and it helps out a ton. This is an invaluable tool that you should always have close to your drill.

Typical Dewalt qualityJan 11, 2011

I have been using Dewalt products for 20 years and they never disappoint. I still have the first Dewalt 18v cordless drill I got as a wedding present and after 10 years of constant use it still works great. Their bits are top quality as well. These magnetic sleeves are super useful for when you are trying to screw something in a tricky location where holding the screw isn't possible. I use them regularly for projects around my home and workshop. They're just a huge time saver for me--well worth the purchase price.
