Good dependable pro DVD player.Jan 24, 2009
By Terry Schoenberger I have 2 of these units that I use for DJ shows, playing music videos. They always work great and are very dependable. The drawer feels solid and opens and closes pretty quick. It cues up quickly too. This is a 1 rack space unit, so if space is an issue then this is a great choice. If you can go 2 rack space then you can get a unit with more features, like direct track access.
I love this unit but there are a few operational issues you should know about.....it does not have direct track access buttons on the front but it has a nice remote control you can use to access tracks directly, even when playing DVDs. It has track up/down buttons on the unit but they do not go faster when held down, you have to hit the button for each track up or down. It has auto pause after a track plays, but it won't stay on after you open the drawer, so you would have to go into the menu and turn "auto pause" on for every disc. If you hit "open" the drawer will open while a disc is playing. It's better if you have to hit stop first, in case you hit "open" by accident.
It has 4 video outputs.....composite, component, S-Video and HDMI and I use two of them at the same time....S-Video with composite or component. I have not noticed any signal loss when using two outputs at the same time. I have not used the HDMI output yet.
Overall I consider this a quality "pro" unit and I love it.

By R. Rutherford This player will play most all the disks, it can have the OSD messages turned off which is good for presentations to groups. It has been a reliable device.
