I take a lot of prescriptions. Trying to keep track of all the bottles is very frustrating.. I can barely keep up with my socks! LOL But, I have tried just about every pill organizer there is. When you have a lot of AM & PM pills (like 10-12 pills each time), it's overwhelming. My problems w/ what I've tried: Too small. Too hard to put pills in and take them out again. Not enough compartments. Coming open too easily. Spilling. Too big. Too hard to open. Too expensive... I could keep going, but I'll spare you. I just needed something for lots of pills.
After spending a lot of money over the years, I found these Lockables organizers. I think they were just a few dollars. I found mine at Joann Fabrics. I can fill and empty each compartment w/o risking spilling pills from another. I'm not saying go to Joann's; I'm saying that these organizers work great for me and they weren't expensive at ALL. I purchased (3) 7-compartment pieces- AM pills, PM pills, travel-in-my-bag pills.
The price is right. Only 2 drawbacks and those are minor for me. 1: For someone with severe arthritis or limited hand strength/use, they may be more difficult to open. I have mild hand arthritis. This wasn't the easiest thing to open, but I did it. It seems like it gets easier with use, though.. and 2: for 7 days of am/pm pills, I have to use separate organizers. It's my understanding that this brand has 14-compartment organizers.. it's just that I didn't see them when I purchased mine.
If you're storing pills or beads or jewelry or hell, dog/cat treats.. whatever you want.. this little organizer has made me pretty happy after years of frustration dealing with my pills. All you gotta do is push in the plastic tab at the end and you can open/close the compartments as you need.

Compartments open individually so you can dump out one without the others.
Fabulous for your beads etc. Also, great for the garage and storage of nuts and bolts. One possible drawback is that hinges are plastic and will eventually break.
