if you want to know your weight plus minus 5 pounds this is for you! I tried to measure my weight 5 times. the scale shows diferent weight each time during 10 min.

I love this scale. That said, I will start with the issues that others have been concerned about.
1.There is a brief wait to get the scale up and running. At first this was a bit annoying but I keep record of my readings so now I've learned to just tap the scale with my foot, press set and adjust the scale to my setting, then open my logbook. The couple of seconds it takes me to get the logbook ready cuts down on the time I'm waiting.
2.Accuracy - This scale comes down about 3-4 pounds heavier than my last scale and I believe it to be an accurate reading based on my trips to the doctor.
3.Consistency - Very consistent. I regularly re-weigh myself and the weight is dead on accurate. If I drink a half a glass of water between the readings it registers in tenths of a pound as well as the other readings.
4.ERR Msg - I have never seen this. On my past scale this usually meant the batteries needed replacing. Not sure if this is the case here, but it's worth trying.
The additional features on this scale are what I really appreciate. It seems to be a good deal for the price to be able to see % of body fat, water, muscle, and BMI along with a daily calorie recommendation for weight maintenance. I also love the fact that is has four separate settings so that different members of the family can get their personalized readings.
Overall this is a very useful tool for the family interested in pursuing physical wellness.

This is the second Taylor digital scale I have purchased and I have been very disappointed with both of them. When standing on the scale, it is impossible to get a reading unless standing perfectly still and motionless for 5 seconds or more. The numbers keep shifting and never arrive at a final reading, and eventually the scale either displays an ERR message, or automatically turns off. The numbers displayed seem to vary widely with even the slightest of movements. Perhaps the scale is TOO sensitive for weighing a human body... I don't need accuracy to the tenth of a pound, just to the pound is sufficient. The problem must lie with a poor scale design.

I purchased my scale in December. It arrived in time for Christmas and I am VERY pleased with the scale. Its great and I really like the feature that shows how many calories you need to maintain in order to maintain your current weight. That feature has helped me to stay on track. I definitely recommend this scale to any and everyone. Its really great!

Best multi function scale on the marketOct 26, 2011

to preface this - I've ordered multiple things on amazon over the last few years, based on customer feedback. I have found that customer feedback has been EXTREMELY accurate time and time again, and it is my duty to finally review this and other items for others.
I was searching for
1) Complete accuracy in weight in multiple standards (lb and kg)
- this one achieves that and does one better working in stones. Accurate 100% of the time. Multiple repeats lead to identical number to 99.9%.
2) Ability to measure body fat percentage, accounting for the water weight in the muscles, and the muscle mass percentage. Again, MUCH better than I had expected.
- this machine has 10 settings for different people, and remembers them for over a year now (great battery efficiency), so I don't have to input my age/weight every time.
- It measures the BODY FAT PERCENTAGE, accounting for weather you are an athlete or a not - as these two will make your numbers very different. OMG - I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER - it is AS accurate than any other OFFICIAL test, and always gives me the same results. This machine also (as implied), will give your body fat percentage if you are a non-athlete correctly as well.
- IN ADDITION - provides Muscle mass percentage, and WATER WEIGHT!!!!. These are so crucial for myself, as I workout every 2 days, and it lets me know my physical condition from all aspects.
3) Price!
- I am shocked that a machine this cheap does all of the things the professional ones do for much much more money. It feels like having a qualified doctor measure these things for you, at your own house.
I have had it for over a year, and use it almost daily. Amazing product. I have not changed the battery yet. It turns on by simply moving it a bit with your foot, so no need to bend down. The screen is easy to see, and the buttons are wide and far apart, so that you could use your feet.
Finally, instructions are very intuitive, and I only had to spend a few minutes reading the manual, and now know how to perform all of the multiple functions by heart. Also, as I've said, it remembers everything! So once set up, there is nothing you need to do, but let it work it's magic.
I have spent days researching this, as I am an athlete and workout all the time. This is the BEST machine for under $500 easy.
