if it had a lock it would be....Dec 27, 2011

perfect ! if it had a lock ;) but otherwise a great case, not small anymore , takes my 5.11 Tactical Watch Collection, nicely embedded in the foam i also bought ! The clearlid is my fav. as i have quite some boxes, hardcases, bags etc. stacked and always seem to misplace and forget where my stuff / gear is ! tough enough to take it on tour, training, for diving etc. , plugged carefull and kept the foam so with a touch of glue i could start new again and use it for some different purpose!

Quality at the right priceApr 03, 2011
By kryark Pelican cases come in many sizes, but all (that I've seen and bought) maintain the consistent attribute of quality materials and appropriate price. Most recently, I purchased this and the Model 1300. These two are my 7th & 8th Pelican cases, and every one of them has performed to expectation.
I use them for Camera Equipment (large roller case with DSLR & Lenses), Video camera and some 0910 for memory cards, the 1300 is for multiple HDD's (though they do have some other products intended for that purpose).
If you need a rugged water tight container for any purpose, Pelican should receive careful consideration. This model does not have the "Pick 'N Pluck" foam that comes with some models, however I believe you can order it separately. My purpose for this case was to carry 3.5" HDD's (without housing) and the case provides a good snug fit. Some left over foam from my other cases will be used to fill one end which has a couple of inches gap.
Better than ......Apr 24, 2013
By Gulfcoast Better than expected, throw the carabineeer away and get a large one to handle better, lid is a bit hard to open snipped fingers the first time but box seals well and does it's job.
Excellent caseMar 20, 2013
By Robert E. Caesar I actually use this to store my sons refrigerated medicine in. It makes it nice when we have to travel because we don't have to worry about it breaking. So far it works great!
Great little case, only one tiny drawbackMar 07, 2013

This is a great case, and anyone who knows me knows how much I love Pelican cases. It's very reliable, as they all are, and the latch seems like it will hold up well for quite some time. It's an interesting size, but with all cases, the size must fit the use.
My only issue with this product at all would be that I don't like the caribiner that comes with it, and that's for two reasons: One, I personally don't like how noisy it makes the case due to rattling around against the plastic. Two, it's not an amazing quality caribiner on its own, so I haven't re-used it for anything either (as in, I wouldn't purchase that caribiner separately).
But with that being the only down-side... this case is five stars.
