No problem with mineDec 11, 2008
By S. Brown
"Mac User"
This scale, like all other digital scales I've used, varies about a pound or two between readings, but that's not really a big deal. I learned in chemistry that it's a good idea to take three readings and use the average. Typically I get two identical readings out of three and I'm happy to take the identical readings as my weight.
I really like the fat and water readings built in, as well as the multiple memory locations (up to 10) so that up to 10 can see if they are gaining or losing. A small signal is sent through the body (if you have a pacemaker, don't use this) to determine body fat; body electrical resistance is measured to determine hydration.
Salter is well-known for accurate scales and this one is no exception; plus it's sleek looking and so thin that my bathroom door will open over it so it's not in the way of the door, no matter where I put it.
Max capacity is 350 lbs. I had no problem reading the clear display of weight, fat, and water. Set up (programming) for three people was easy and quick. I like it.

Great Design - weight reading unreliable/inconsistentFeb 03, 2008
By Neredha Barratt I purchased this because of the great simple design and while I read the negative reviews - I thought I would give it a try - the negative reviews were right. I telephoned Salters to discuss the unreliable/inconsistent weight readings and they told me to wait 5 minutes between stepping on the scale each time - tried that and the problem still persisted - a different reading each time within the same time period.

Attractive, but not functionalSep 18, 2007
By W. Payne Although this scale is very attractive, it is very easily scratched. But the biggest problem is that it does not consistently work. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I couldn't trust the readings and so returned it.

It's all right.Jan 30, 2010
By Melissa N. Simonson The shipping took forever. As for the scale itself, well I don't think it's all that accurate. If I get on it twice in a row, it will say two separate weights. Sometimes it's completely off, saying I weigh 89 pounds. The body fat analyzer is completely off, it says I'm at 50% body fat, when I don't think it's humanely possible. (I' 5'2 and weigh 107).
