This item was purchased to replace the original one that came with my receiver. The original lasted for almost 5 years and 2 vehicles so I would expect this to hold up about the same. There is nothing special about it that would be an improvement over the item it replaced.

This is probably my fourth antenna for my sirius radio. I mount it on the trunk lid of my four door volvo S40, that may be the reason for this, but the connection at the antenna frays (probably from the action of the trunk lid opening and closing, there is enough slack), but either way I wish that was beefed up a bit more. Good signal reception, low profile.

I've had Sirius for 6 years now, and this is my third antenna. I figure being out in the sun, heat, rain, and snow can't be good for them.
It's good to have a replacement for your Plug and Play antenna. This one works well and seems to get better and more consistent reception than the one that came with the unit. There is plenty of chord to weave and fit into your car.
What else can I say. It's an antenna.

Everything about the antenna was exactly as it was advertised. The packaging was more than sufficient to protect the product and the arrival time was exactly as stated. When used, the antenna worked as it was supposed to. Overall, a great transaction and a great product.

My previous Sirius antenna lasted for five years before failing. The the guy at the auto repair shop said he could replace it for $49.95. I'm glad I checked here first. This is an exact replacement for my old antenna and the "price is right."
