 Great system, don't let the price fool you!Sep 07, 2009

Worked well for my 1993 Grand Marquis. Installed in a day (after a few headaches, but that's to be expected for a first time experience) and works very well. Where I mounted the receiver limits the range of the remote, but I plan on extending the antenna soon. It's been working very well for a year now.
The remotes look and feel great. The buttons have held up nicely and the battery in the remote hasn't died.
The small package has lots of features. I've installed trunk pop and dome illumination as a few of the optional features.
There's nothing better for the price. Grab this kit, it's great.

Slow to arrive (9 days) I'll start first saying this is a fairly nice product and you get what you pay for. Works for the most part as advertised. I reviewed several different units before I purchased this one. I purchased this one based on the owners manual found on the manufactures website. The manual on the website lists that you can disable the ignition trigger feature. (that is if you unlock the vehicle with the key not the remote after you lock the vehicle with the remote, then turn on the ignition, the horn will honk and park lights flash. You have to hold the override/program button ((which I didn't want to install but had to)) for 10 seconds while the horn is driving you nuts) The manual that came with the unit does't list this as an option, and the unit will not accept the programming code listed by the website manual. All-in-all this is a good product, has great range (about 100feet with the antenna wire tie-raped up under the dash. I installed this in a 2006 Chevy Cobalt sedan along with a door lock kit also purchased here.

Great Value and Easy to InstallOct 27, 2008

I bought this to install on my 2008 Ford F-250 truck, which has electric locks but lacked the keyless entry feature. I installed it in an afternoon, and had it working in a couple of hours. The range is exceptional, and the hardest part of the install was finding a spot to mount the unit under the dash (there's not a lot of room in that area).
The instructions were OK, but do your homework first on locating the correct wires on your vehicle, the wire color code, etc. Then tackle the install itself. I only hooked up the remote lock/unlock feature, not the starter disable feature, etc. This little unit has a lot of features that you probably won't use, but it's nice to know that they are available if you need them.
Build quality, etc. seems acceptable, and the hand held remotes rival those OEM units that come with factory installed keyless entry.
I do not think you can go wrong for the money.

I wanted a basic keyless entry package for a good price. This unit delivers! But, it goes way beyond basic. It has lots of options. Now, I didn't want to spend time hooking up the parking lights and horn and whatnot, so I didn't use those options, but I was impressed with all the things this could do. For my simple lock/unlock needs, this unit installed in about an hour, since my car already had power locks. Instructions were clear. Unit is small and easy to find space for. Works like a champ from up to about 80 feet away, which is really impressive. Key fobs are small and feel like nice OEM units.
If you get REALLY frustrated, consider that if you already have power locks, you can often install/mount this unit inside the driver's door, which can often be easier since you have all the necessary wires for a basic lock/unlock installation, and it's much easier to find the wires. I did my install of this unit inside the door, which I had also done with another unit some years ago.
Finally, as someone else said, be sure you have the wiring diagram for your car before you start. That will save you lots of time and frustration.

This product works great, and was fairly cheap. The only thing I was not satisfied with was how long it took me to hook it up, but what do you expect it's a pretty major opereation. It took me a weekend to install, Saturday I did the locks and lights, and Sunday worked on the remote start. (if you want to install the remote start you must get the relay the manual talks about, because it is NOT included) Before you install you need to research your exact car, and find a wiring diagram, so you know where all the needed wires are. Also know what wires go to the airbag, (they are usually marked but just in case) so you don't screw up your airbags. This keyless entry is really good, and if youre looking for one I recomend this one, it works great. You will also need to buy some wire connecters or splicers, because they are also not included.
