I purchased two of their mats, but in burgandy (LT67 burgandy). I purchased them four years ago. They worked fine until one day I tried to move them to clean as I had done before and found they were stuck to the tops of my L shaped wood desk. The black foam backing appears to have eaten into the desk finish and much of it could not be removed. Where I was able to remove the black foam the finish underneath was a rough as sandpaper. I called their customer service and was told to send pictures and the receipt, which I did. They never responded. I kept calling until they said there was nothing they would do about the problem. I finally wrote to their head office and never received a reply. I purchased these to protect my new desk and instead they ruined the top of the desk.

Great writing surface! Affordable, durable, basic color (black) doesn't clash with anything, doesn't blind you if the sun is shining through the window, & it is a fabulous size that lets you put more than one paper on it without feeling crowded. Looks great on the desk. I am a happy camper!

I decided I needed to protect my new desk's veneer top from scratches and my laptop's heat. Now that I've put it to use, I found some other reasons to really like this material: smudges don't show up, I don't need a coaster for my drink, works good as a mousepad, grips the desk surface well, and gives my office a professional look.

This black deskpad is perfect for my black desk. It blends in with the desk surface and is rather elegant. I ordered this item to protect the desk surface from getting scratched up from my laptop. The pad has a non-slip surface on the bottom and stays in place.
The deskpad also retains its shape -- you don't have to worry about it getting scratched up or damaged from use. It was delivered in a large, flat cardboard box and was undamaged. Ideal alternative to those fancy leather deskpads that cost many times more money.
I recommend this product.

When I ordered this item, I was expecting to get a thick, soft rubber desk pad with a foam back. It fulfills my needs which is why I gave it 3 stars. But be aware that the surface is more easily damaged than the product description lets on. The rubber is somewhat hard which means that minor bends (in shipping) will cause a crease that might not release. This also means that the surface is something less than self-healing. For instance, if you take a scissors to it (lightly), the mark will not go away. The backing is difficult to keep clean; being foam, small debris sticks to it easily.
Overall, it was a good purchase, but the product could definitely be better.
