 Can't be used on wood desks! Useless!Dec 25, 2007

I was dismayed to find a warning on the desk pad that says " do not use on any surface that has acrylic, lacquer or urethane coating. PVC will mar these finishes." So basically, all wood desks are out. They picture the pad on the cover of the packaging being used on a vinyl laminate desk. Who even needs a protector for that kind of surface? This should have been clearly noted in the product description on the website, not on the packaging, where I only see it after I've paid to ship it and have opened it up.

Many of us want a desk pad to protect a wood surface. Small lettering on the BACK of the packaging tells you that it's not for lacquer or urethane surfaces.

We received these sheets in good condition. They held up well during shipping, they are thick and sturdy but not cloudy. We use them on a glass desk in our office. The only thing that is weird is how they stick to the desk and leave little air pockets that are noticeable, but if that is not an issue for you they are a great protective product. We are very happy.

I can only speak from my experience with it on a laminate surface, but they look and function perfectly. Doesnt stick to the surface and clean up easy.

Needed to replace desk pad which had become cloudy and did not sit flat. Purchased this product as it stated it was clear (which is is) and slightly larger than my previous pad. Looks great, sits flat and I like being able to use mouse directly on pad.
