5An excellent adhesiveMay 12, 2010
By Deanna Johnson
I use this glue for many applications. It is great for repairing plastics or bonding non porous surfaces. Pretty much the only thing you don't want to use it on is pleather, which will peel.

This is much more durable than cyanacrylate ("Super Glue" and similar) for most projects because it forms a slightly flexible bond (cyanacrylates form a strong bond, but because it is brittle, it lack durability). Also, unlike some other brands of flexible permanent adhesive, this dries clear (many dry in a yellow-brown color, which is hard to hide).

Be careful to clean the treads with a paper towel or scrap of rag before closing the tube, elsewise you won't be able to open it again!

For small repairs and applications I also recommend you squeeze a small dot onto a scrap of paper and use a toothpick to apply it...the tube does a messy job even if you get the version with the narrow nozzle, plus it oozes if you leave it open very long.

Anyway, overall, the glue works for a lot of things that just can't be glued otherwise, its a great tool for crafters or to have around for little home repairs.

5One of the best craft glues out thereMay 17, 2010
By Shala Kerrigan
This glue is the secret for a lot of crafters and can be used in many applications in place of hot glue.
It's a strong, flexible glue with a good open working time and can be used to bond rhinestones to metal or plastic, gluing plastic to metal and other hard to glue surfaces.
When it cures it's a very strong bond and it takes about 24 hours to cure completely, it cures clear and shiny. Use a needle or pin to apply in small amounts for jewelry applications.
Doesn't work well with paper because it's a very thick glue.

5Perfect for rhinestones, decoden, and craft plastic parts!Feb 21, 2010
By Ivana M.
I had no idea what glue to choose but after some research i learned that the E6000 was the best for rhinestones. Other glues including wood, hot, gorilla, and super glue will make your stones CLOUDY and UGLY! However when i used this glue the stones remained perfecty shiny. The glue is not runny it is more tacky. You have around 7 minutes to arrange your items but i prefer to work in small areas because of the tackiness of the glue.

I am using this glue to decorate my cell phone case with rhinestones, fimo, and cabochons. Be sure to press down the stones in the glue or they will just float on top of the glue and might appear un-leveled.

4Fantastic GlueJul 18, 2011
By Nicerobot
There are MANY glues out there for the consumer but most are very specific in what they will and will not stick too. Plus most consumer glues have a hard time forming a strong bond to vinyl and other flexible and/or slick surfaces. E-6000 is the exception to the rule in that it seems to form a strong bond with just about every surface including flexible and smooth ones. The secret is that when it dries it becomes a very very very stiff/thick taffy like substance that is flexible but also gives strong adhesion to just about everything. Unfortunately there are some draw backs/side effects. The glue works so well do to a solvent chemical commonly used in dry cleaning that is fairly toxic. As such there's a whole host of warnings on the package about the dangers of breathing the fumes and accidentally digesting the product which can cause liver/kidney damage. Although I love this glue, the biggest problem I have is with the fumes. The product fully sets in 12-72 hours depending on the weather/conditions but the fumes will be with you long after that. I glued something almost a month ago and although I only used about 1/4 of a teaspoon of E-6000 its still giving off a smell within a few inches. And if the glued item is placed in a closed container or bag the smell will build up so when you go to open it you'll briefly get a strong smell again until it dissipates. Eventually I hope it disappears completely but just so people know the smell of this glue can take several weeks to go away - something not common with most glues after they've dried. Because of the nature of the glue I would not recommend it for children, would wear gloves when handling it and make sure you have a separate place for glued items to air out for a few days (garage/unoccupied room w/open windows) to give a chance for the fumes to go down.

4A must for all jewelry craftersJun 08, 2011
By Elizabeth Harris
I keep a lot of different adhesives on my shelf for various applications and one I always have is E-6000. There is absolutely no substitute in various jewelry making or repairing situations. It comes out and dries completely clear and slightly flexible so reapplying that dropped pearl or rhinestone is a permanent fix with this stuff. Its great at providing a bond between two non-porous surfaces, not so useful for anything even slightly porous (paper, fabric, wood etc.) My only issue with this great stuff is the cap/closure. It does tend to ooze out and the cap/threads get goopy. Once that dries, you will never ever get the cap off again. So keep the oozing under control, wipe the threads and you should be OK. [you can still save the contents even so--if the cap is stuck and there is still a good amount of glue left in the tube, I simply poke a small hole in through the side of the tube with a pin and squeeze out a few drops of what I need. This hole will be self-healing and the E-6000 sets up again so you can eke a few more usages out of your tube.]
