Super fast pump!May 25, 2011
By Loadnabox The pump is about the same volume(decibel) wise as any other electric air pump I've used for air mattresses etc. That's not to say it's quiet but it's comparable.
(*POWER INVERTER IS NOT INCLUDED WITH PUMP! I am only providing this information to help give people an idea of what it will do when used in this situation)
The box claims it's a 16 amp pump, but I've put this on a watt/ammeter and found it draws 1.1amps/170watts on standard wall power, or 1.15amps/185watts when using a power inverter that supplies a modified sin wave (power draw is higher with modified sin since as a motor it's an inductive load and responds differently depending on the electrical wave form.) My 95% efficient power inverter drew 13 amps from a 12V load to supply the power to this pump
I purchased this pump to inflate the Intex Excursion 5 inflatable boat. I can completely fill the boat with air to the recommended pressure (not counting the seats) in all three sections in under ten minutes! I timed how long it took me to take the bag out of the car, set up the pump and inflate the boat, 10min38sec. I figure it took at least a minute to move the bag and unfold the boat. This is a very large inflatable to fill so quickly!
I would highly recommend this pump to anyone purchasing an inflatable boat, it will do you justice, just remember that it's wall power only, not designed for use off a car battery, so you will need to have a power inverter handy. I would recommend a 200W continuous inverter minimum to give you some breathing room, or the initial load when the motor spins up could shut down an inverter barely capable of providing the sustained power.

Great Air Pump!Sep 28, 2010
By Kristina R. Lindsay This air pump works very well! The cord is extra long, there are a number of different valve attachments, and there is sufficient blowing power to fill up a bed quickly. Great pump!

A bit loud - otherwise okAug 14, 2010
By Anatoli Arkhipenko This is ok. It does what it needs to do, but is quite loud. If noise is not a problem, the rest is ok about it.

Air pumpFeb 01, 2012
By kidrobic Ordered pump in emergency to replace broken one at school. Works GREAT! Noise not an issue as filling is done in a gym. Blows up stability balls in less than 5 minutes. Best part doesn't seem to overheat on sustained use- blowing up multiple items for 20 minutes.
