Picked this up a couple weeks ago. just now got around to installing it due to other renovation projects. installed just like any other porch light. wires to existing outdoor box. Two wires, and a ground. All hardware and wireing included. Hooked transmitter up to Secondary sound Card on my PC. works like a charm. Transmitter is upstairs on the north side of my house, Lamp is ground floor on south corner of house, probably 200 ft away. Works Great, no static... speakers sound much better than i expected, i was pleasantly surprized. now i've got music on my pourch without draggin out boombox, or fussing with MP3 players/docks/radios. Great for outdoor linving spaces. RCA to headphone jacks included, also RCA to Female headphone jack included. Overall, install took about 20 min. Super easy.

If you're looking for an outdoor music solution that doesn't require a lot of wires or installation hassle, this is the way to go!
You simply replace your current outdoor light fixture with the Audiovox light/speaker system and voila, you're good to go. I hooked the wireless transmitter up to my computer and use my iphone to control the volume/songs being played.
Sound quality is good and the quality of the light is great too. Awesome idea and well executed!

installation was very simple where I had an existing exterior light. The sound quality was good (I didn't expect perfect sound from a 5 inch speaker and since its just for outdoors while entertaining, I thought it sounded just fine, but it is not like having a full stereo system). The light is adequate, though I wish they used a full size lightbulb so that it was a tiny bit brighter. Reception has been perfect, and the controls are easy to use. Overall, I can definitely recommend this product.

I just received the Audiovox Acoustic Research AW851 Wireless Lantern Speakers (2) and installed them in about twenty minutes. I hooked them up to my iTouch and listened to Pandora online. The sound quality was unbelieveable, crystal clear, no static, very impressed.

These are great! Easy to install in place of existing lights, two provide stereo and sound is more that acceptable.
