Don't waste your moneyJun 10, 2007
By Edwin Sloan I bought this unit to get an ATSC tuner cheap and to be able to record shows. Well, it kind of works, but nothing is great. The remote control is terrible. Its credit card sized and gets lost real easy. It also doesn't control much. The television guide is generic and comes from (...). You have to sign in and scroll on the internet with your mouse which is a nuisance to me because it should work with the remote, but it doesn't. You can't even click on a show and go to it. The remote control has to be directly in front of the box to work, also. This unit is cheap and you get what you pay for. I thought it would pause and rewind live TV, but it won't for me. There are so much better products than this out there so pay a little more and be much happier.

A waste of time and effortNov 23, 2008
By Ronald M. Tissier The advertisement indicated it worked with Vista Media Center. It did not -- it would not be recognized as even connected to the computer. No mention of Media Center in setup manual. Support responded with only a "canned" response that did not even acknowledge my specific setup problem with Vista Media Center but provided a duplicate of the setup manual. I returned the product for a full refund. I am grateful that AMAZON provides for customer satisfaction

It works for meDec 12, 2007
By M. Lee I bought this several months ago, just as an inexpensive way to find out about the local digital channels. It was able to allow me to see the local digital channels through my computer. Now that we have a large HDTV with a built in digital tuner, I am able to watch mostly on the new HDTV, but this device comes in handy when I want to record shows coming over a digital channels.Atsc Qam USB Pc Tv Tuner Ntsc HDtv
Did not work for me.Dec 03, 2011
By Frank Kowalski I followed everything to the letter. It picked up 2 analog stations, but all the digital stations in this city did not scan in. I tried a generic PCI card before this with the same results. But, I bought a DVICO PCI card, and a DVICO USB stick, a Haupaugge DVR (USB) and a Silicon Dust net tuner and all picked them up. I learned if you buy a ATSC tuner for under 80 bucks, it won't even pick up the channels. If you want an attractive plastic box that DOES do a good job, try a Haupaugge DVR. I am thinking that this box may work, but my city uses a standard that is not "ATSC 8VSB". Or something to that effect. You would think a PC TV Tuner is simple enough that is can be inexpensive and work! The ones that work for me are hundreds of dollars.
not a bad device, not great eitherDec 20, 2010

this device is okay, its decent for what it does, and on a PC that can handle it this device will get HD, make no mistake if your PC cant handle HD this device will tell you it cannot do HD and wont allow you to tune in anything that is HD, but it will find the channels, also please be advised this tuner works with windows 7 media center as long as its own drivers(which are vista drivers) are installed, but if you are using rabbit ears it is best not to actually scan for channels just flip through and see if it gets it, many channels with a lower signal will get deleted if you scan for channels, thus you wont be able to adjust your rabbit ears to get a better signal,
please note: the below may not be true if you use windows 7 media center, but the included software isnt compliant with comcast so if you have alternative TV tuner software that works with this tuner I suggest you try it, this tuner works just fine with windows 7 media center, although I have yet to be able to try this with windows 7 media center and comcast, but others who have used the arcsoft total media say clearly that it blocks out alot of channels that windows 7 and vista media center do not
so, it seems its a decent tuner with bad tv tuner software
