I like the rectangular shape of these speakers better than the circular shaped ones, I wouldn't say the sound is any different....I have ceiling speakers installed in my study and added these to improve the peek volume. This is my second set of pyle speakers and I think they make great products and their also less expensive than most.

The speakers sound great, have a nice high range. The bass or low end is also good, but not made to be a sub woofer. I have no problem referring this speaker set, the only thing i can recommend is make sure there are no obstacles like plumbing lines or hvac in the planed installation area since these are wall speakers. I made this mistake, and had to re-configure the layout. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty impressed with this speaker set. For starters, I was concerned that with the low cost they would't be too great sounding but to my wonderful surprise, they are pretty darn good. They put out plenty of clear, equal sound- treb and bass, turning out to be full and nice sounding. I liked the shape because round speakers are just harder to install so, these were an easy cut and in they went. The wiring was a little on the thin side but, I felt like that was fine considering it's not pumping out massive power. Thy're not too heavy, look clean, sound clean and the price was cheap. They were a good buy for me and have been giving me good consistent sound since they were installed.

I never did get to hear any sound from these speakers so I can't rate that. That's because two plastic tabs (holding the larger speaker in place) were broken, so I had to return the speakers. I would have returned them anyway because the tweeters do not swivel like it states in the product description and on the front of the box. The biggest disappointment was when I looked at the back of the speaker and it reminded me of a child's toy. I only saw two speakers, one little capacitor, and two cheap, tiny red wires running from the tweeter to the woofer. No voice coils or any of the other parts you see on better speakers. I returned them without incidence.
