Good Machine for Its PriceMar 22, 2010

I bought this JWIN for my parents and they like it a lot. The cool thing is that it has quite a bit of features with USB, HDMI and 5.1 channels even though I didn't use all the features yet. What I did find amazing is that it will play any disks whether it was retail disks or those that are bought off the streets. In addition, it will read not only NTSC (United States) version of disks, but also PAL (foreign countries) version as well. It will also read MPEG and other digital formats as well. This is the only machine that I found to have all these capabilities without it being expensive. The more expensive machines I noticed won't play PAL or disks not produced for retail sale. The only thing about this machine is that the remote control has really small buttons and I was not able to find replacements for the remotes for JWIN machines.

Al princio estaba excéptico por el precio pagado. Pero una vez llegó y lo instalé, he podido ver todas mis películas de forma brillante con un excelente sonido. Lo recomiendo.

Tried any number of cd's and dvds, but only 1 of 5 or 6 were recognized and usable. Purchased a panasonic viera dvd player for about 2/3rds the price, and it works great.
works good for the priceNov 24, 2011
By Anton G. Wiltshire It may be cheap but the dvd player worked great without any problems. Love it!!! Will advise anyone to get it.
Shipped with wrong remoteSep 10, 2010
By Adam I had a limited amount of time to spend with this player, but from what I can tell, it is a nice unit. I did play a short part of a DVD to see if it was connected correctly. I had to return it, however, because it was shipped with a remote for a completely different piece of hardware. I did buy it used, so I can't blame the manufacturer. I don't know what happened to the correct remote or how this other remote found its way into the box. I would not have found this to be too big of a deal as we don't have the correct remote for our TV either, we use a Universal Remote. The problem, is that this DVD Player will not work with a remote other than the original. It does have buttons on the front, which I would have used, we have done this before, but one of the parts I was most interested in was the USB port on the front. In order to utilize this feature you have to use the remote, which I did not receive.
The product seemed to be of quality construction, was good looking, and thin, but unfortunately you cannot use a universal remote. I would have otherwise kept it, so beware of this factor, especially if you want to use the USB capabilities, because without the remote you are left with only the functions of the buttons on the front, which only control the DVD playback and NOT USB!
