2Poor quality bits, poor customer serviceMar 03, 2008
By James A. Heard
One of these bits snapped off on the second use, and I've used it only to drill into douglas fir, avoiding any knots.

Worse still, Milwaukee customer service does not live up to the company's vaunted reputation. I sent the bit to the local authorized service center, as directed by the website, only to be told the Milwaukee warranty doesn't cover bits.

Not satisfied, I contacted the company directly, who said they would cover it if it was defective, but I'd have to send it to the regional service center (not the same place I sent it already). I contacted the place I sent it to originally, but have not been able to get them to return it to me (despite having enclosed a return envelope, postage prepaid, when I sent it to them).

All in all, I would say the entire experience has been very disappointing, and I will not buy another Milwaukee bit.

By the way, do not imagine that you are buying domestic just because of the name - like nearly everything else, these bits are made in China.

3drill bits are junkFeb 06, 2008
By G. Hartman "Slayer Master"
I have owned this kit for 6 months now and I'm down to 3 out of the 5 drilling bits. The 2 offenders snapped off like twigs.I have never broken a bit until now. Also, the case does not hold bits in there place when transporting. (I keep mine in my tool bag which gets moved around daily). Every time I open the box bits have slid all over the place.

2Poor Quality - Broken bits and a Quik-Lok which will not release a bit.Sep 02, 2008
By D. Walsh
I have broken most of the drill bits. Often the first time the drill bit was used. The quik-lok will not release one of the driver bits making it useless.

My hobby for the past eight years is woodworking. I try to buy the best tools I can afford so I do not have to replace then a year later. I have a number of other Milwaukee products and have been pleased with the performance and quality. However this bit set is junk.

4Not greatFeb 28, 2008
By Tim Bauer
The package contains several bits that come in handy, but the 1/4" drill bit broke on the first use. I rate the quality of the drill bits as having poor metal quality. The hex bits are OK. However, I will not buy another kit like this from Milwaukee.

3Nice kit, but the bits are no where close to typical Milwaukee qualityMay 28, 2008
By J. Meagher
Very nice set, but as other reviewers have stated the drill bits are pretty weak. I have snapped 2 of them off using them in wood. I know that bits break, but this was just a little to soon and in soft material. If your going to buy this for the bits i would look elsewhere, but if your mainly going to use the tips its a great kit to have.
