Perfect for StovepipeNov 08, 2010
By W. Tweeddale Despite not being recommended for wood/coal stoves, I used this high temperature tape to seal my wood stove flue collar, and it works great. Airtight, with no shrinkage/deterioration whatsoever!

the only stuff rated for fluesSep 30, 2010

I do energy audits and teach BPI courses. This is the only metal tape I could find rated for 600F. Most other tapes that most people use are not rated for the high temperature that a flue can reach, especially oil appliances.

Great tape to use on the grillNov 02, 2011

I used to mask some vents on my gas grill to stop heat from escaping.
Tape withstood repeated cooking and show no sign of coming off even after being on the outside in rain for many months.
great product for high temp applicationsApr 08, 2012
By BobM I used this to hold the insulation wrap around the flue pipe exiting my wood stove insert. Normal metal duct tape didn't last a week. This has held a couple months without signs of getting loose.

Got this tape to piece together a "flue fire stop," and it worked wonderfully. Sticky enough to close the gaps between the very old wooden joists and the ductwork/fire stop and sturdy enough to work into small areas without tearing or sticking to itself. Also used it to guard a plastic drain pipe that is too close to the water heater flue (aren't old houses interesting?), and it definitely keeps the heat where it belongs. Great stuff!
