These are great - especially for the priceJun 12, 2007
By Arnold Irving I have these out on my deck in Chicago, with no real protection over them - just a tree over one. They seem to have no problem with water, and seem heavy and well made. They sound pretty good, too - they're not as efficient (it takes some oopmh from the amp to get them up to volume), but it's not a big deal since I don't run them simultaneously with my main speakers. I'd definitely recommend them.

inexpensive speakers.... decent soundMar 04, 2012
By W. Dalton here in new orleans, we use these speakers when gatherings happen outside in hot and humid conditions.
While outdoors, the pair I own right now are not directly exposed to rain and sun. I am buying another pair of these today to put them in the tree out back.
The sound is decent.... not breathtaking... but decent. Other reviews are correct.... these need some power to get the volume up. if you are running another set of speakers and forced to use one volume knob... you may have issues.
Overall.... good bang for the buck
