Needed a few extra feet (about 80!) of cable for the Revo camera system and this did the trick. One last camera for our store.

this wire was needed as an addition to complete an install of a 10 camera, 16 channel Revo Security system. We needed extra cable because of the distance between one camera and the DVR placement. The system is very good overall, the cameras are near broadcast quality, and are pretty good at night. Many options for recording the individual cameras and many options for playback/review of what has been captured. Install and set up was very easy, and the ability to network allows remote monitoring off site.

Bought for a Samsung DVR system, did not work. Checked the ends for connectivity and only got connection on 3 pins. Removed one end to find that the cable only has 3 wires with shield, not 6 wires.

This is probably a great product and okay price for your security system as long as you're sure its the wire you need!!!! My security systems wire looks exactly identical to this wire in both looks and despription but unfortunately I needed RJ11 wire. This wire is RJ12, but how does one know theres a difference without an explination. Suffice it to say I feel for the better price and bought 2 of these. Amazons return policy is absolutely horrible by the way. By the time you pay to ship and have the 20% restocking free reduced from your original order, you'll be lucky to get back half of what you ordered. And price pros that sells this wire isn't fun to deal with. I returned my wire via postal instead of ups, and it sent them for such a loop it took an additional 3 weeks to get my refund. Anyway, this is more of a rant, but most security systems need RJ11, which is hard to find, so beware!
